Visitor Visas
A Visitor Visa allows you to come to New Zealand for a short stay - to travel, visit friends or family, or attend business meetings. Most visitors can stay for up to nine months in an 18-month period.
If you’re from a visa-waiver country, you may not need a visa before travelling, but you’ll need a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA).
To qualify for a Visitor Visa, you’ll need to show you intend to visit temporarily and return home afterwards, have enough funds or a sponsor to support your stay and meet health and character requirements
Your visa may be extended in some cases, or later changed to another visa type, such as work or study.
At Navigate Immigration, our team can help you determine the right visa, prepare your application, and ensure your travel plans run smoothly — whether you’re visiting for leisure, family, or business.
Student Visas
New Zealand offers world-class education in a safe, welcoming environment - and a Student Visa allows you to live and study here for the duration of your chosen course.
To qualify, you’ll need to hold an offer of place from an approved education provider, show you have sufficient funds to support yourself, and meet health and character requirements.
A Student Visa may also allow you to work part-time during your studies and full-time over scheduled breaks, depending on your course.
If your programme is longer or leads to higher qualifications, you may be eligible to extend your visa or later apply for a Post-Study Work Visa, allowing you to gain valuable experience in New Zealand after graduation.
At Navigate Immigration, our team can guide you through every step - from visa selection and document preparation to ongoing advice as your study and career goals evolve.
Work Visas
A Work Visa allows you to live and work in New Zealand temporarily, and in many cases, can lead to residence. Most applicants apply under the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), which requires a genuine job offer from an Immigration New Zealand–accredited employer.
To qualify, you’ll need to show that you have the skills and experience for the role, meet health and character requirements, and will be paid at or above the relevant wage threshold.
Some work visas offer a pathway to residence, particularly if your occupation appears on the Green List or you meet the criteria for the Skilled Migrant or Work to Residence categories.
At Navigate Immigration, our specialists can help you navigate the process - from assessing eligibility and reviewing job offers to preparing a strong visa application that supports your long-term plans in New Zealand.
