Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE)
The Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) Scheme allows approved horticulture and viticulture employers to recruit seasonal workers from nine Pacific nations to plant, maintain, harvest, and pack crops in New Zealand. Employers with RSE Status can employ workers for up to seven months within an eleven-month period, or up to nine months for workers recruited from Kiribati and Tuvalu.
To participate in the RSE Scheme, employers must first apply for and obtain RSE Status through Immigration New Zealand. Once approved, the next step is to submit an Application to Recruit (ATR). After the ATR is approved, employers can begin the recruitment process and apply for Recognised Seasonal Employer Limited Visas for their workers.
